Save up to 42% on a New Bike
Cycling to work makes so much sense.
- You can save a lot of money
- Keep fit and cancel the gym membership
- Help the environment by reducing pollution and congestion
And thanks to a tax-break you can save up to 42% on the cost of a new bike. It's part of the Government's Green Transport Plan, encouraging people to ditch the car and cycle to work. The tax break allows employers to provide cycles and safety equipment to employees as a tax-free benefit.
Companies of all sizes can participate, and there's no additional cost to the employer.
What do I need to do?
Speak to your line manager, or HR department, and ask if the company has a 'Cycle To Work' scheme. If they don't know what this is, call Steve on 01457 879955. We'll speak to your employer and explain the benefits to them.
How much will it cost?
You can start to ride a bike to work from as little as £14 a month. The cost is spread over 12 months through a salary sacrifice.
I have my own company. What's in it for me, as an employer?
There are several benefits.
- It's a zero cost way to reward your staff
- You can save money on National Insurance contributions
- The scheme can help with staff retention
- Your company's carbon footprint will be reduced
- Fit and healthy staff are more productive
If you have your own company or are a sole trader you can still take advantage of the Cycle to Work Scheme.
If you want more information then call Steve on 01457 879955. He'll be happy to discuss the benefits with you.
